Inspire your clients

Like most business owners, that have young families I have very little ‘me’ time. So tonight, I decided to take some time out for myself and gain some inspiration for 2015 business planning. I decided to watch some TED videos. I love TED, always an incredible source of inspiration and inspirational, talented people. Several hours passed in a second! But one of the videos that I watched really stood out – it was by Simon Sinek and I will include the link to the website here so you can see it for yourself!

Essentially it was about how Great Leaders inspire action. It reinforced the need to present WHY you and your business exists rather than focusing on HOW and WHAT you do. Now most people might jump straight to …….make profits? But no, you need to delve deeper….what is it that you believe in?

People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it.

If you can inspire people, and tell them what you believe they will come along for the ride. This is a better way to market your business, but it begins with you and how you see your business.

My take out from this video is a review of my own business and how I see what I do……really think about WHY I do what I do.

  • Thanks for the reminder Jessie- as a Naturopath I seem to spend so much time encouraging, teaching and hopefully inspiring my clients to do what they need to do in order to improve their health. After a while it can feel a little automatic and the passion can wane and so I appreciate what you have said here : “tell them what you believe they will come along for the ride”. I need to bring a bit more of that into my practice.
